Bonnie was known to the children at church as the “Church Grandma.” She had a huge heart for children. She handed out candy to little ones and in return they showered her with hugs. Maesi formed a special bond with our Church Grandma and spent many Sundays curled up in the seat next to her or close to her side during or after service. Bonnie’s love and generosity of spirit is forever etched in our hearts. She made a difference in our lives. Maesi made a blanket to bring comfort to my Momma through her battle with cancer and in her last days. She cherished the gift. It was folded up neatly in her home in a special place. She didn’t want to use it because it was so special to her and came from someone she loved very much. She didn’t want anything to happen to it. I draped it around her shoulders though and it stayed with her from that point on. My family was moved by the love from Holli and Maesi. My Momma would be full of joy to see this ministry begun in her name. In fact, I know she is watching and sees the beauty and love that is being poured out through this ministry. Thank you.
